Non-Profit Internship Program

Did you know?

Last summer (22) high school and college students were placed at (8) non-profit partner sites for an amazing summer  internship experience.

Welcome to the 2018 Non-Profit Summer Internship Program!

We are glad you’re here!

KC Social Innovation Center (KCSIC) provides financial support for Summer Internship Programming (SIP) on a competitive basis to eligible non-profits seeking to build capacity over the summer months.

KCSIC supports the SIP with one or more interns at a $10 hourly wage for a total of 160 hours  per intern of achieved work over the course of the Summer (June-August).  The Start/End dates, as well as the number of hours assigned per week are flexible to your organization and needs.

How it works:

One >> Sponsored interns are employees of KCSIC and leased to partnering non-profits to perform a range of summer duties.

Two >> Selected non-profits will receive back-office support services from KCSIC including job posting, basic recruiting and co-management.  More details can be found here.

Three >> We have (20) internship slots available to qualifying non-profits.  This is a competitive application, and will be based on the quality of the work-experiences high school and college students may have at your organization.

Interested nonprofits may submit an application for sponsorship here.  The deadline to submit an application is April 30, 2018 by 5:00pm CDT.

All applications will be collected and reviewed by an independent panel in the priority received.
